Their genetic traits unique to the world by introducing effective models for community management of endemic ruminant animals and their habitats at five pilot sites, and enhance the environments of production and marketing of livestock and its products.
The project at a period of six ans.IL will preserve the biodiversity of endemic ruminant livestock, to remove obstacles to their sustainable management and devalue the great potentials in terms of livestock in sub-humid zone in Africa west.
The project will strengthen the capacity of all stakeholders in the sector including agro-breeders’ associations, women and youth, rural communities and governments charged with research and development. Farmers and breeders are prepared to sustainably manage the endemic ruminant, and to implement management initiatives of community-based natural resources, specified by the Minister of Livestock.
